Exhibiting in balmainspace this May is Bondi born artist Zoe Abicht. Carrying her love for the ocean everywhere and experimenting with water in her art, Zoe essentially creates ‘watermarks’. Exhibiting her unique creativity from a young age (painting with a busker at the age of three and attracting quite a crowd!), Zoe is fascinated by the idea of an honest painting, a reflection of herself or objects around her. Throughout the exhibition you will pick up on a particular colour palette all inspired by the ocean and Zoe’s deep connection with it - with contrast to the blues representing coral and the pollution of plastic within the ocean.
Zoe’s work is based on her experiences of creativity in reaction to emotion and the world seen through the eyes of a 14 year old. This three week exhibition features 12 pieces and a feature wall documenting her recent travels to Europe.
balmainspace invites you to join us on Friday the 11th of May from 6-8pm for the opening night of his exhibition, as we celebrate this vivid body of work amongst friends and art lovers.
If you can’t make the opening night, then please come by during the week between 9am and 6pm (other days by appointment). This exhibition is open until the 27th of May.
